Meridianville is a community of 8,209 people (2020) in Madison County, north of Huntsville and east of Harvest, bordered by Hazel Green to the north and Moores Mill to the east.
What that means for your plumbing
Meridianville has grown with new subdivisions on former farmland. Water heater replacements, fixture upgrades and drain clogs are common; see fixtures and remodels. Homes on the edges may be on septic.
Along the old road
U.S. 231/431 follows the old Nashville-to-Huntsville road through the community. Bobo Section Road and Winchester Road lead to a growing number of neighborhoods east of the highway.
On the base meridian
Joseph Fenwick established the village in the early 1800s along the main road from Nashville, and it takes its name from sitting on the base meridian line. Fenwick bought land and offered lots for sale in 1818, and within a decade the village had mills, gins and stores. Older properties near the highway may still have original pipes; see drain cleaning. The community has no city government of its own, so county permits and Huntsville Utilities or local water systems apply depending on the street.
